One Life – The World From 35,000 ft

I’m writing this post from 35,000ft as I return from an overnight visit to San Diego. Flew in last night, great C12 Briefing presentation this morning, a super cheeseburger on the beach, wonderful visit with Joe and Denise, and home tonight! I’m connected on GoGo and on an Air Tran flight. Isn’t this an amzing world?! Piece of cake, right? Well maybe not so much! Yesterday morning I left home (n.GA) at 7:30am to catch an 11:15am flight. At 9:00am my car overheated and changed my plans in a significant way and I got a chance to experience what I teach and try to live by, Romans 8:28 “God will work all things together for good for those who love Him and are the called according to His purpose.” I am so grateful for this truth! It can even help when standing...

Just a short post today for you leaders of leaders who might be out there. I want to recommend to you the best definition that I have seen of what a true Christian leader is called to do, and also the very best, and most comprehensive book that I have ever read on the subject of how it is best done. The definition of what a Christian leader of leaders does is: “Moving people on to God’s agenda.” ...

One Life – What Matters Most to You?

In the book “Crazy Love” by Francis Chan, which I heartily recommend, Tim Kizziar is quoted as saying “Our greatest fear as individuals and as a church should not be failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.” Think about that, to succeed at what doesn’t really matter. And what might those things be? I suggest that for the most part they are things that most of us think matter most! Career success and reputation. Personal net worth statements. Physical beauty. Financial “security.” Personal popularity and reputation with other people. A beautiful really big house. Expensive baubles to hang on our bodies. The American Dream turns out to be pretty much an eternal waste. ...
